Indiana Business Rally Indiana Business Rally Relies on Bravelo for Event Planning

Anyone who has ever planned an event knows all of the work that goes into it. Now imagine this event is planned by people at different companies, in different locations and many of whom have never even met before. That kind of event planning can be extremely challenging, if not for close attention to detail and a collaboration tool named Bravelo.

A coalition of Indiana-based companies and organizations joined forces in the fall of 2001 to create the Indiana Business Rally. Begun as a community event to counter the negative effects of the September 11th attacks, this event has grown into an annual networking event targeted at business leaders and decision makers across all industries. The objective of the Indiana Business Rally is to stimulate new contacts and ultimately new business by providing a forum for connection and communication.

"Bravelo has enabled us to coordinate fourteen sponsors and plan the event in less than three months," states Julie Nahvi, Director of Marketing for BitWise Solutions, Inc. "For the first rally, we only had two physical meetings and the rest of the work was done online."

When planning began for the second Indiana Business Rally, materials were readily available from the previous event to help jump-start the planning process. "For the first event, we researched many local venues and caterers. For the subsequent events, we simply consult this list to make the venue selection. It has saved us a tremendous amount of time and phone calls," remarks Jennifer Walker, Marketing Director for Bose, McKinney & Evans LLP. "Because the data from previous rallies is stored in Bravelo, our planning becomes more efficient with each event."

In addition to quickly selecting the location and caterer, creating the web site content, email invitations and a print ad are much easier with all of the previous documents being stored in Bravelo. The revisions were quickly approved through Bravelo and the graphic designer is able to download only the latest versions of the copy and sponsors logos.

According to Julie, "Bravelo has made planning for the Indiana Business Rallies a steam-lined process. Two individuals were able to orchestrate the entire event because Bravelo keeps us in constant communication and we were able to quickly make decisions."

Through the use of online collaboration, the sponsors are able to review and approve event speakers, select a charity to receive the proceeds and plan the evening's agenda. The sponsors were also able to track registration figures and the budget.

"Bravelo is a great help in planning the Indiana Business Rally events. With coordinators working from two different companies, it is essential to keep all of our project information in one convenient location to eliminate duplication of efforts and to save time. Also, the various sponsors of the Rally have access to Bravelo and can see their marketing dollars at work," states Jennifer.
